XVII de PHotoEspaña, Festival internacional de fotografía y artes visuales

 La XVII edición de PHotoEspaña, Festival internacional de fotografía y artes visuales, se celebrará del 4 de junio al 27 de julio. Su foco principal se encuentra en Madrid y entre sus sedes exteriores se encuentran, Cuenca, Zaragoza, Alcobendas, Alcalá de Henares y Getafe. PHotoEspaña se inició en 1998 con el objetivo de dar a conocer el trabajo fotográfico así como de videos e instalaciones de artistas de todo el mundo y ahora es un evento de gran prestigio internacional y de los más importantes en España, cuenta con la Medalla de Oro al Mérito en las Bellas Artes. Este año se presentan 108 exposiciones con obras de 440 artistas, 317 españoles y 123 de otras 36 nacionalidades. La temática que caracteriza la XVII del festival gira entorno a la geografía española con una visión generacional, a diferencia de otros años que se ha establecido una temática concreta.

 

Dentro de esta jornada, PHotoEspaña ha organizado una serie de actividades que complementan el evento, talleres, Campus PHE, Descubrimientos PHE, Encuentros PHE donde los participantes podrán interactuar y analizar el panorama artístico, visitas guiadas y programas de carácter pedagógico destinados a captar la atención de nuevos públicos. El colofón y cierre serán los Premios PHotoEspaña donde se reconocerán los mejores trabajos presentados dentro del Festival, las publicaciones más destacas del año y la trayectoria profesional de fotógrafos nacionales e internacionales consagrados y emergentes: Premio PHotoEspaña, Premio Bartolomé Ros a la mejor trayectoria profesional española en fotografía, Premio Descubrimientos PHE, Premio PHE al Mejor Libro de Fotografía del Año, Premio Festival Off a la mejor galería que haya mostrado la mejor exposición, Premio PHotoEspaña OjodePez de Valores Humanos y Premio del Público otorgado por los asistentes. 

 

Entre los participantes de la XVII edición de PHotoEspaña están Josep Renau, Joan Vilatobà, Ortiz Echagüe, Eugeni Forcano, Alberto Schommer, Ramón Masats, Cristina García Rodero, Cristóbal Hara, Alberto García-Alix, Pablo Genovés, Jordi Socías, Pilar Pequeño, Cristina de Middel, Ricky Dávila, Rosell Meseguer, Linarejos Moreno, Miguel Ángel Tornero y Óscar Monzón. Pero PHotoEspaña no queda aquí sino que sigue trabajando durante todo el año con proyectos como el programa Trasatlántica propiciando el encuentro entre profesionales de la fotografía y de las artes visuales en Iberoamérica.

XVII PhotoEspaña , International Festival of Photography and Visual Arts

 

 

The XVII edition of PhotoEspaña , International Festival of Photography and Visual Arts will be held from June 4 to July 27 . Its main focus is on Madrid and among its external headquarters are, Cuenca , Zaragoza, Alcobendas , Alcala de Henares , Getafe and Zaragoza. PhotoEspaña began in 1998 with the aim of raising awareness of the photographic work as well as videos and installations by artists from around the world and now is an event of great international prestige and the most important in Spain, has Gold Medal Merit in Fine Arts. This year exhibition presents 108 works by 440 artists, 123 of 317 Spaniards and 36 other nationalities. The theme that characterizes the XVII festival revolves around the Spanish geography with a generational view, unlike other years it has established a specific topic.

 

Within this time, PhotoEspaña has organized a series of activities that compliment the event, workshops, Campus PHE, meetings where participants can interact and analyze the art scene , guided tours and educational programs which aim to capture the attention new audiences. The climax and closure will be PhotoEspaña Awards where the best papers presented at the Festival will be recognized, the most publications in excel and career of national and international established and emerging photographers : PhotoEspaña Award, Bartolomé Ros Award for Best Spanish professional career photographic Discoveries PHE Award for Best photography Book of the Year Award PhotoEspaña Off Festival Award OjodePez PHE Human Values ​​Award for best gallery that has shown the best exposure , and Audience Award granted by the attendees.

But PhotoEspaña is not here but continues to work throughout the year with projects like Transatlantic program promoting the encounter between professional photographers and visual art in Latin America.
