El pasado lunes 10 se presentó, en el Teatro Arteria Coliseum de Madrid, la vigésimo tercera edición de
los premios de la Unión de Actores, donde se premió el trabajo de los
intérpretes de cine, teatro y televisión a lo largo del año 2013.
Los premios, entregados por los propios actores, son un
galardón entre compañeros que premian el esfuerzo y el trabajo de los
profesionales. Todos los afiliados de la Unión de actores tienen un voto, por
lo que son unos premios recibidos con gran cariño.
La gala fue extraordinariamente presentada por los humoristas
Secun
de la Rosa y Llum
Barrera, con la ayuda del señor
de rosa Juanan Lumbreras, que
aderezaron toda la velada con mucho sentido del humor y mucha espontaneidad,
resultando una gala muy amena en todos los sentidos.
“Este año nos han recortado tanto que no tenemos ni
entregadores” bromeaban los presentadores, explicando también la sobriedad de
la escenografía, que consistía en unos globos gigantes y tres paquetes de velas
sobre el escenario.
La gala comenzó, aunque un poco retrasada por las entrevistas
que los medios estaban realizando a los protagonistas en el hall, y rápidamente
comenzaron los premios a los intérpretes de televisión.
Entre los premiados de Televisión
hubo una clara vencedora; la serie “El tiempo entre
costuras” , cuyos intérpretes se llevaron un total de 4 premios: Adriana Ugarte como actriz
protagonista, Elvira Mínguez y Carlos Santos como actores
secundarios y Tristán Ulloa por su papel de
reparto. Los otros dos galardones fueron a parar a Asunción Balaguer como actriz de reparto
en la serie “Gran Hotel” y al actor Emilio Gutiérrez
Caba
por “Gran
Reserva”.
En Teatro hubo más variedad
alzándose con el premio a protagonista Kiti Mánver por “Las
heridas del viento” y Asier Etxeandía que, aunque no pudo
estar presente en la gala escribió un sentido discurso que leyeron sus socios
agradeciendo a quienes creen en el teatro. Los premios secundarios fueron para Felipe Andrés por “El
fantástico Francis Hardy, curandero”
e Inma Cuevas por “Cerda”,
un premio muy apoyado por todo el teatro que vitoreaba a su llegada. En cuanto
a los premios para reparto Nuria Gallardo, nominada doblemente
se llevaba un premio inesperado por su actuación en “La verdad sospechosa” y
para Luis Callejo por “Los
miércoles no existen”.
Por último los premiados en la categoría de Cine fueron Susi Sánchez y Antonio de la
Torre
en su papel protagonista (por “10.000 noches en ninguna parte” y “Caníbal”
respectivamente), una sorprendida Belén López (“Quince años y un día”) y un reivindicativo Roberto Álamo (“La gran Familia Española”)
que se acordaba del ministro Wert. En los premios a reparto “La
Gran Familia Española” se llevaba otro premio con la actriz Alicia Rubio y Dani Muriel cerraba los premios de
cine por su papel como Jugador Uno en “Diamantes negros”. Los premios de actriz y actor revelación fueron para Olimpia Melinte por “Canibal” y Hovik Keuchkerian por “Alacrán
Enamorado”.
Los discursos de agradecimiento estuvieron bañados en tintes
políticos reclamando la importancia que se merece la cultura y rogando al
gobierno la dimisión; reivindicativos con el cine y los derechos de los trabajadores,
la gala dejo frases como la del Secretario General de la unión Iñaki Guevara: “Si
no sabemos valorar el arte no aprenderemos a vivir”.
Uno de los momentos más emotivos fue el Premio a toda una vida para José Sazatornil que no podía
encontrarse en la gala por su débil estado de salud. En su lugar, además de una
retransmisión en directo para poder verlo en casa aceptando el premio, subieron
al escenario su hija y sus nietos para agradecerlo en su nombre.
En definitiva una gala muy entretenida y con muchas sorpresas
a la que acudieron muchas figuras del mundo audiovisual como Leticia Dolera,
Mariam Álvarez, Arancha Martí, Xenia Tostado, Aitana Sánchez Gijón, Alba
Flores, Bárbara Lennie, Belén López, Michelle Jenner, Alicia Borrachero, Ruth
Gabriel, Silvia Marsó, Carlos Hipólito, Daniel Muriel, Tristán Ulloa, Rodolfo
Sancho, Miguel Ángel Silvestre, Álex González, Roberto Enríquez, Martín Rivas y
Alex O'dogherty.
Unos premios que demuestran la importancia de los intérpretes
en la cultura que, una vez más, se imponen a los inconvenientes y los problemas
para sacar su profesión adelante con pasión.

THE UNION’S
ACTORS AWARDS
Last
Monday took place, in the Arteria
Coliseum Theatre in Madrid, the twenty-third edition of the awards of the Unión de Actores,
where the work of the interpreters of film, theater and television along 2013
was rewarded.
The
awards, delivered by the actors themselves, reward the effort and the work of
professionals. Every member of the Unión de Actores (Actor’s Union) has a vote,
which is why they are received with a lot of affection.
The gala
was extraordinarily hosted by humorists Secun de la Rosa and Llum Barrera,
along with the help of ‘Mr. Pink’ Juanan
Lumbreras, who spiced the whole evening with a great sense of humor and
spontaneity, which turned out into a very amusing and enjoyable gala in every
way.
"This
year we’ve been cut so much that we have no servers” said the host joking
around, and also explaining the simplicity of the set, which consisted of giant
balloons and about three packages of candles on stage.
The gala
began, a little delayed by the media interviews the actors were performing in
the hall, so the prizes to television performers started quickly.
Among the
Television awards was a clear
winner, the show “El tiempo entre costuras”, whose interpreters obteined an amount of 4
awards: Adriana Ugarte as
leading actress, Elvira Mínguez and Carlos Santos
as supporting actors and Tristán Ulloa as cast
actor. The other two awards went to Asunción Balaguer, as
supporting actress in "Gran Hotel" and actor Emilio Gutiérrez Caba
for "Gran Reserva".
On Theatre there was more variety. The
leading actress and actor award were obteined by Kiti Mánver for “Las heridas del viento” and Asier Etxeandía that,
although he could not be present at the gala, he wrote a heartfelt speech read
by his partners thanking those who believe in the theatre. Supporting actress
and actor went to Felipe Andrés for “El fantástico Francis Hardy, curandero” and Inma Cuevas for “Cerda”,
a very supported win for the audience that were cheering loudly while her
arrival. As for the prizes for cast actors, Nuria Gallardo, nominated twice,
came an unexpected prize for her performance in “La
verdad sospechosa” and also Luis Callejo for “Los miércoles no existen”.
Finally
the awards in the Film
category went to Susi Sánchez and Antonio de la Torre
in their leading role (for “10.000 noches en ninguna parte”
and “Caníbal” respectively), a
surprised Belén López (“Quince años y un día”) and a prostesting Roberto Álamo (“La gran Familia Española”) who remembered the Minister Wert. The cast
award gave another win to “La Gran
Familia Española” with the
actress Alicia Rubio, and Dani Muriel closed film awards with his role as
Player One in “Diamantes negros”. The awards for best breakthough
performance were obtained by Olimpia Melinte for “Canibal” y Hovik Keuchkerian for “Alacrán Enamorado”.
The
acceptance speeches were full of social protest and fighting claiming the
importance that culture deserves, and begging the government's resignation; also
claiming the rights of workers and the value of cinema, the gala gave away
phrases such as this one from the Union’s Secretary General Iñaki Guevara:
"If we don’t know how to value art, we will not know how to live”.
In
conclusion a very entertaining and full of surprises gala attended by many
figures in the audiovisual world as Leticia
Dolera, Mariam Álvarez, Arancha Martí, Xenia Tostado, Aitana Sánchez Gijón,
Alba Flores, Bárbara Lennie, Belén López, Michelle Jenner, Alicia Borrachero,
Ruth Gabriel, Silvia Marsó, Carlos Hipólito, Daniel Muriel, Tristán Ulloa,
Rodolfo Sancho, Miguel Ángel Silvestre, Álex González, Roberto Enríquez, Martín
Rivas y Alex O'dogherty.
These Awards
demonstrate the importance of interpreters in culture that once again they rise
on the drawbacks and challenges to carry his profession on with passion.
