Se trata del primer
largometraje bajo la dirección de Alejandro Marzoa.
Dos padres de familia se
quedan parados en su década de los cincuenta, pero la vida les da un revés al
encontrarse en su jornada de pesca, diez kilos de cocaína.
Por lo que la deciden
vender y así salir de la situación pésima en la que se encuentran. El reparto lo componen Paco Tous, Miguel de Lira, Unax Ugalde,
Manuela Vellés, Manuel Lozano y Marisol Membrillo.
Uno de los productores, José Corbacho resaltó que Alejandro Marzoa: representa un perfil
en el cine español de gente que ve mucho cine y que está muy bien
formada".
El estreno comercial de "Somos gente honrada", se
prevee para el día 7 de junio. Pero
la ópera prima de Alejandro Manzoa,
comienza su andadura en el Festival de
Cine de Málaga. Que es uno de los eventos referentes en el cine español.
Otro componente junto
con Corbacho de El Terrat, Andreu Buenafuente considera que sólo
será posible salir de la situación "con buenas historias" y que
"hay que hacer más películas que nunca, levantar el culo del sillín y
contar cosas como más atrevidas con esta generación brillantísima". Además
señala, que "el cine español es buenísimo y hay directores
cojonudos...pasará la crisis y quedarán estas películas".

“We Are Honest People”: Going from Being
Unemployed Parents, to Drug Dealers
This is the first feature film directed by Alejandro Marzoa.
Two
parents in their fifties are unemployed, but life gives them an unexpected
opportunity when they find ten kilos of cocaine while they are fishing. They
decide to sell it and get themselves out of the financial hole they currently
find themselves in.
The
cast includes Paco Tous, Miguel de Lira, Unax Ugalde, Pussycat Dolls, Manuel
Lozano and Marisol Membrillo.
One
of the producers, José Corbacho noted that Alejandro Marzoa
represents a profile of people in Spanish cinema who watch a lot of films and
are very well-trained.
The
commercial release of "We are Honest People,” is set for June 7,
but the debut of Alexander Manzoa, began its journey in the Malaga
Film Festival, one of the most important events in Spanish cinema.
Together
with Corbacho of the Terrat, Andreu Buenafuente believes
the only way out of this situation is "with good stories" and that
"we must make more films than ever, get off our arse and be more daring
with this brilliant generation." He also believes that "Spanish
cinema is great, that there are fantastic directors... the crisis will end, and
these movies will remain."
hay que tomarse las cosas como mejor se pueda, no queda otra en estos tiempos. Seguro que es un éxito.
